Trust and corruption in Swedish municipalities

The project aims to answer questions about norms, trust and corruption in general and in Swedish municipalities in particular.

Through quantitative and qualitative studies of conditions in the Swedish municipalities are sought the mechanisms that may explain how democratic societies with high trust and low corruption sometimes end up in vicious circles of decreasing trust and increasing corruption. The project will be reported in 2010.
